Inspiração: The work is inspired by the red of blood, earth and flesh that represents the strength of the jaguar in Latin America. The yellow gold appears as the representation of the power and natural wealth of the lands in which the jaguar dwells.
Mulambö's Bio': Artist Statement
I grew up a Mulambö to talk about the land on which I stand on bare feet.
And with the feet very firmly on the ground, to think of the structures that, simultaneously have maintained us on our feet through the ages, are upheld by each of the stories we live and will live every day. Through my work I try to elude structures, elude symbols, elude flags, eludes presences, elude the future towards the past and elude the past towards the future, as my process is based on this constant movement.
Thus, when tracing these intersecting paths, I try to reinforce that prior to being an artist, I am a grandson, son and godfather and I make art to affirm that there is no museum in the world like our grandmother's house.
