Inspiração: We live in a world where the need to conserve the environment clashes with the very need for people's survival and their population expansion in cities. We are disconnected from nature to the point of considering that we are not the fruit of it, nor dependent on it: we live in an illusory world. We no longer connect with the whole picture and who we are, nor are we clear about the meaning of our lives: we are fragmented. Who are our neighbors, where is our family? We get lost in a disconnected life, where nature is an idealized image, no longer a reality. The way out of this non-life? Integration: the vision that we are one with nature, and that, behind all technology, is our most real human nature.
The concept of “Pantera fractalis” expresses the reality of disconnection and fragmentation, and yet the ideal of integration, since despite being composed of various influences it is a unified composition, coherent in its own form.
Lailamacke's Bio': Ser uma artista visual autodidata e mestra em Arquitetura e Urbanismo são dois aspectos da vida e das maneiras como a artista vê o mundo. Laila Mackenzie tem trabalhado como artista visual desde os anos 90, e como arquiteta desde os anos 2000.
Ela foca em autoexpressão através de uma obra de arte principalmente figurativa, pesquisando a percepção visual das cores e técnicas de expressão utilizando tinta acrílica. A artista também usa meios como pintura à óleo e aquarela, sendo um dos principais objetivos a análise das diferenças sutis de expressão em vários formatos disponíveis.
