Inspiração: Me inspirei na Literatura de Cordel, que é um gênero literário popular, escrito em rimas criadas a partir de relatos orais de casos e depois impressos em folhetos. A literatura de cordel se popularizou no Brasil nas regiões Norte e Nordeste, sendo hoje difundida em todo o território nacional.
ARTHUR FRAGA's Bio': I was born in Salvador – BA, in December 67. From a very early age, at the age of eight, I have began to show aptitude and interest in drawing. At that time, having my family as a model, I already very easily drew their faces and expressions, whether from photos or the “models” themselves. Since that time, human figures were a recurring theme.
At the age of thirteen I entered an art school where began to paint oil canvases and has not stopped since.
I graduated in chemical engineering, always reconciling engineering with the art of painting.
Later, looking for new techniques and more knowledge, joined the Waldo Robatto art school, in Salvador – BA, a period that produced several canvases with more maturity and professionalism.
Essentially self-taught, I paint my childhood memories and perceptions of today. Colors, shapes, textures, images, figures, saints, birds, flowers, Bahia all fit into my universe.
