Inspiração: The camouflage of an animal is designed to protect it, to keep it hidden. Through this piece, the contradiction between the natural hidden state of an animal and its need to be visible in other ways in order to survive are highlighted. The juxtaposition of the natural markings and the pattern imposed on it highlight the irony of the animal’s plight and how the actions of humans have subverted the natural order of its species in relation to its ecosystem.
JP Pemapsorn's Bio': June (JP Pemapsorn) originally rediscovered her true passion as she followed in her fathers footsteps to become an architect. While in school she decided to leave school to pursue her true calling as a visual artist. Her passion translates into each piece of artwork she creates using techniques like realism, impressionism, surrealism, or abstract which move the viewer creating an internal energy to motivate an exploration which uncovers the complexities in each piece.
As well as her solo work, June works with teams to create larger bodies of work, which has allowed her to develop and attain new techniques and an expanded and grander view of what she may accomplish. She sees creating with other artists as an opportunity to both learn and accomplish on a greater scale. Her works range from small commissioned paintings and street art to large scale team projects which encompass multiple levels to achieve a grander narrative in cooperation with architects and project teams. Each piece, whether as a painter and artistic director or as a solo artist, convey her particular uniqueness, attention to detail, and love of the visual form and the emotions and concepts these media stir in her.
She has worked extensively internationally with works in her native Thailand, and as far afield as Vietnam, Japan, Australia, Latvia, Italy, Poland, and the United States. Her work encompasses commercial television work, cultural street mural work for embassies, the construction of entire 3D art museums and a large-scale digital art project for the Thailand National Memorial.
While she is at peace working with realistic portrayals, her real passion is surrealist and abstract art, which allows her to express ideas and emotions, culminating in exhibitions which influence others in a unique and almost visceral manner.
