Inspiração: Protective spirit of the Earth's biodiversity. The idea was to create an entity that represented the entire environment, with supernatural forces she is the protector of all beings in the forest.
Pedro Bahia's Bio': Former lawyer and self-taught artist.
At the age of 23 I was diagnosed with cancer, a tumor in the pituitary gland. During the treatment I used art as a form of therapy to face the challenges that this type of situation brings, so I fell in love with the art world and decided to follow my dream of becoming an artist.
I like to say thar my art is a master of colors, it’s about strog visual sensations: naked colors, in their purest form. It is an invitation of indescribable possibilities of feelings, which reach the eyes, the mind and the body of the viewer without asking permission.
Within my work the visual element of the eye stands out. The pituitary, in many cultures, is considered to be the third eye, which allows us to see beyond the palpable physical world; I believe that the tumor was like an awakening of my third eye, that today I can see and pass to the physical world everything that is registered in my art.
It is through colors that I express my love for life and
earthly experiences, whether good or bad. I believe that colors heals the wounds of the soul, brings warmth and joy to the essence of the human being.
I was one of the selected artists of Jaguar Parade 2021 in the city of Belo Horizonte with the art project "O Despertar" (The Awekening).
